I started needlepoint a few years ago and instantly fell in love with it.  It adds such an important mental health part to my day. I originally started it as a hobby and it quickly grew into so much more! I wanted something that got me off my phone from endless scrolling.  I'd find myself sitting on the sofa with my kids and when I was looking at my phone I felt very disengaged with what they were doing and I didn't like it. It started as a hobby to get off my phone but quickly grew to so much more. The community it brings is so inspiring- you can be anywhere and you see someone that needlepoints and it's an instant bond and conversation starter.

I had this idea in my head about the magnetic interchangeable system that allows one piece with lots of attachments.  I told my friend Morgan (from WhatMorgansMaking on insta who also is the one that taught me to stitch!) my idea and she said go for it!  I realized that if I didn't, someone else would!  Designing has always been a part of my life.  I went to school for interior design and had a store making personalized gifts, so this was a naturally fun project for me!  And so, Holy City Needlepoint was born!  My instagram started as a place to share my projects and follow other needlepoint accounts.  I find that I'm on that more than my personal insta now and it's an instant boost of serotonin when I'm on it!  I've taught my kids to stitch and it's something fun we now do together.  Be careful, if you tell me you want to learn I'll be at your door with a canvas and thread to teach you!
